Foundation batch is a special program for all the newly enrolled students at INIFD Siliguri. In this, we set the expectations of the course the students have chosen and teach the very fundamentals of design to both Fashion and Interior Design students, such as basics of art, pencil sketching, and shading, papercraft, and art cutting pasting, colors, and logo creating.
2. Class Representatives
We at INIFD Siliguri realize that students need a committee working as their representatives to bridge the gap between faculty and students. Class representatives are nominated by the students to help the faculty to fulfil the needs of the students actively. Class Representatives acts as a communication bridge between the students and management.
3. Image Makeover
At INIFD Siliguri we groom our students so that they look presentable and convincing to the clients they meet as professionals. We help the INIFDians understand that a client would choose a convincing and pleasant personality over a shabby one. We polish our INIFDians by improving the communication skills, their personal style ensuring that each one of them steps into the world as the best in their area of work.
4. Etiquette Classes
INIFD Siliguri incorporates etiquette training classes for students of every course. We believe that as Design professionals and as employees or entrepreneurs of tomorrow’s world, it is very important to produce designers that have excellent social and professional etiquette. We get our students work ready with a lot of sessions from in house faculty as well as successful professionals visiting us.

The students at INIFD Siliguri are guided by a special Placement Cell at the institute, one on one to help them select a branch of design that best suits their strengths as a designer. This placement cell works as a bridge between the INIFDian and corporates. Many a student from INIFD Siliguri has been successfully placed through this cell and, later come to thank the faculty for providing them with this platform.
